Looks like it was the ATI MUX that was causing the audio problems. When I switched it to DVR-MS, eveything looked and sounded fine and it looks like all my stations were found. I'll test each of them out tomorrow.

Thanks a lot Sub
Thanks for the feedback.

So far it's all sounding very good. I just need to work out why lonegeek's scan is returning nothing...

Last night I applied the patch in post #13 I believe. That was the lastest one I saw. I have been successful again in recording. Should I just apply again the patch in #64?

I havent done any heavy testing yet. If I apply the patch in #64 again do I have to rescan yet again? Rescanning is a pain only because all my channels come up as the station call sign "WREXDT" when there is a 13.1 and 13.2 channel so I have to manually fiddle with it to get it to match the EPG channels.

Seems to be working MUCH better now, thanks so much sub for all your effort!

Probably best to, just to make sure you've got all the latest.

You can get all the patches combined in one place at: http://www.gbpvr.com/atsc-scan4.zip

I'd like to see your config.exe.log after a scan if thats not too much hassle? I'd like to look into this a little. You can just add a new capture source for the same card, then do the scan, then zip and attach the config.exe.log, then go back and delete that capture source you just created. (leaving your good one intact and working)

You're welcome. I'm just glad to be getting to the bottom of it.

Reviewing the recordings I found a couple of problems

Thw scan for WUVG shows two channels each with two audios all spa (which is correct, this is Univision which broadcasts in Spanish), however the Audio PID in the tuning request for is 53 for all, not 52 for the first and 52 for the second.

The tuning request entry in the log looks correct, but the drop-down isn't giving the right PIDs

Config log attached.

Also, all recordings are fine except one channel which skipped on playback, I'm investigating that one.
Thanks for not ignoring the spanish language channels. I am keeping up with this in hopes of getting an HDTV Wonder.

Is anyone using an ati hdtv wonder? And if so, is it working with the latest patches? Also what version driver are you using? I cannot get mine to pickup any channels with a scan and recording doesnt work.

Sorry lonegeek but I really want to keep the discussion in this thread around the results for recording or scanning using this new method. I dont really want to go off track and discuss recording using the old hardcoded T:xx,xx,xx method, which works very differently to this new method I'm trying to get everyone using. That said, alot of ATSC users found they had to use the DVR-MS mux to get good results.

Lonegeek,

I have an ATI HDTV Wonder and just tried the latest patch and I get no stations also. I have been having good luck with the original setup (as I said way back) after I did a repair.

Now the original setup doesn't work again.
