I just dropped another $10 in your bucket as a sincere thank you for creating the client functionality, and I wanted to also post an open thank you here in the hope it motivates others to do the same thing I did:
Until now GBPVR has only contributed to me being a lazy bastard, vegging out to more television than most people could ever dream of watching. : ) However the client function has allowed me to take an old machine I had just sitting around, which was not quite ready to be a grown-up GBPVR server, and build a remote machine. With a wireless card plus an old Leadtek tuner card with a remote I could repurpose (using Girder) into controlling the GBPVR menu system, I've got a server I can take anywhere in the house.
Where I took it was my exercise room, which like many people's does not get the use it probably should. The reason I don't exercise as much, or so I tell myself, is the sheer boredom of hammering out mile after mile on the treadmill. Music wasn't ever quite enough to keep my brain distracted, but TV is. Since I built it, I'm exercising like I should be.
Now if the rest of you could check in with me now and again and make sure I keep it up...
Thanks Again,
