What object/methods do I need to use to look up info like channel name/number, guide description text etc?

There is only some of this info exposed for use by plugins. You could look at the IScheduleHelper, as used in the web admin source code.

One more question: Is it possible to press a key (or combination of keys) and start a listed IVideoPlugin?

Yes, but only a fixed combination. As an example, VideoPlugin4 can be started with '4' followed by 'F11'.

Would be nice if you could: 1. press the blue button for to bring up just the osd timeline bar, osd title, time, channel, logo, recording/recorded.. 2. press the blue button again to replace the osd bar with just an osd info window, video window, osd description 3. press the blue button again to remove Could this happen maybe in some future release...
