I'm going to try to schedule a recording and see what happens.. Yes, its working, I can watch it while its recording!

Sub, if this works tommorow, it means ive met my goal to have my hdtv pvr working in time for the office/my name is earl season premieres!

He just means the most recent patches (atsc-scan5.zip).

He had thought I'd applied them when I connected to this machine remotely, when infact I'd been careful to put his machine back to the state I found it when I finished my testing.

Bummer, that is the cheapest card at http://www.pcalchemy.com So far the only card available there or at http://www.newegg.com that anyone reports not being a bad card is the DVICO Fusion for $99.

I use the Avermedia card with my Windows XPMCE setup - I'm sure it works fine with GBPVR

Unsword is using an Avermedia A180 and seems to be having pretty good success with it. It seems to be working beautifully with the new scanning and recording in GB-PVR.

You are confusing me. Your earlier post that I quoted said it wasn't much better than the HDTV Wonder.

The post by sub confirms there is at least one user that has no trouble with the Avermedia A180 which is only $69.00 at http://www.pcalchemy.com This helps users save $30.00
