MVP aspect ratio

Is there any way to tell the MVP to output at a 16x9 aspect ratio?

This is grayed out in config in 0.98.08b and I'd like to try to finally use the full capabilities of my TV monitor and some of the nice new hi-res skins!

Does the latest beta version of the Hauppauge software give this configuration option? Would that then "stick" when using GBPVR?

I'm not able to do this. I can use the MVP software and get 16:9 ratio but as soon as I stop the MPV services and start the GBPVR services, the format is back to 4:3. Am I forgetting something?

I'm not sure if I understand you right but anyway: Afaik you will allways record 4:3, you can have the menu display 16:9.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. If I have a file that is in 16:9 format and I play it thru the MVP using the Hauppauge software, it is displayed in 16:9. If I play it using GBPVR, it's displayed in 4:3. Is there a way to have it play in 16:9 while using GBPVR?

Maybe try changing the setting in config.xml. Just a wild guess.

This is already set as such. I'm still trying a few different things with no luck so far.
