here are the logs on the stutter issue. since live tv works I think it could be relates to saving or the mux. both dvr-ms and .mpg produce similar results

Have you decided if its a recording or playback problem? ie, if you play the file in a non-directshow video player (like mplayer or VLC) do you also get the same problem?

Any reason that one of the channels has sync problems? It works for the first 5 seconds, hiccups then goes out of sync.

Same problem in Media player if I play it. I figure it's something in recording at this point but you'd have to tell me for sure. Playback through live TV is fine though. COuld this be a mux problem?

Yes, it'll be either the mux or the capture device (or its drivers).

Here is a thread from another ATSC user that had stuttering problems a couple of days back. His was corrected with updated driver: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ht=stutter

This is usually a decoder issue. From memory you're using the Elecard decoder, which has been known to have some of these issues in the the past. That said, it might either be an audio decoder or video decoder problem, so best to try different combinations.

We'll i'm willing to buy that it might be a problem with the mux or drivers but I had success in the past with 0 problems. Is there anything else that might cause this. I thought plugins, I disabled those, no difference. Whats strange is that it was working just fine until it was in a different slot in the PC. It's NOT on the same interrupt as the video card.

Ok, heres something that MIGHT be of intrest on the decoder issue. This also seemed to be about the time I upgraded to the full version (not demo version ) of the nvidia decoder. I dont think that should be an issue, has anyone else had issues with that? Just curious.

No that I cant think of. There are no GB-PVR components in this flow of data. It goes straight from the card, through the Microsoft MPEG2 Demultiplexer, then in the mux that you're using. The demultiplexer is pretty good, and not aware of any problems with it, which leaves the card and the mux (both of which are common sources of problems).

As I suggested above, you need to test it with a non-Directshow player like VLC or mplayer.exe (BTW this is not Windows Media Player).
