What's SUPPOSED to happen when....

What's supposed to happen when you've scheduled something to record at say, 8 p.m. And say just prior to that, you're watching Live TV through your MVP. When the clocks strikes 8, what's supposed to happen? I think I've had various things occur. One time it just didn't start recording. Another time, Live TV kinda locked up and kept playing the same 2 second clip over and over and over.

What's supposed to happen? Any settings to better ensure your recordings will get recorded? It seems like there should be a dialog that pops up and says, "GBPVR is about to start recording a show. Would you like to watch it or exit Live TV?"

It should just kick you out back to the main menu.

I think I've had various things occur. One time it just didn't start recording.

There was a bug that could cause this in previous releases, but it should occur since v0.98.8

Just for the record my setup demonstrates exactly the same behavoir after upgrading to v0.98.8. At least on my NovaT card. I have to hit menu and then watch the pending recording to carry on viewing the show being recorded.

I also have a 150MCE that is controlled with a USBUIRT which works just fine. Its not a problem most days as I rarely record two shows at the same time. It would be nice if the recording just started in the background and live TV just kept playing while recording. Even if it paused for a short while to buffer!!??

As suggested there, would it be possible to bring up a menu prompting user to choose between recording or continuing to watch live TV?

Maybe in the future. For now its just supposed to drop you back to the menu.

OK, Here are the logs. There are two circumstances here:
1) Watching liveTV on the PC when a recording comes due. Get put back to the main menu OK.
2) Watching liveTV on MVP when a recording comes due. Get continuous loop of the last two or three seconds of the liveTV.

I zipped up every log I could find.
