Fuzzy tv...no pic in Tuning Assistant

I am very new to this and don't like to bother the experts with my menial questions, but I have been working on this all day and am at an impass.

I have my Adaptec 3610 setup, and it added to my "Capture Sources". Got Zap2it set up and EPG working fine, but when I go to Live TV all I see is red lines. Tuning Assistant is cycling through the channels that I get acting like it recgocnizez them, but there is absolutely no picture in Tuning Assistant...not even fuzz. I tried cycling through my video decoders (InterVideo, CyberLink, Nero Video, GPL MPEG - 1/2) with no luck...just some that had black screen with no lines or fuzz. Even tried VMR 7/9 (whatever they are), but they didn't help.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

BTW If anyone knows about the remote for the Adaptec 3610 and how I can get it to work with this program I would really like to know.

Did youget it to work with the Adaptec's native program?

I didn't get a native program with the unit. I got if off ebay and it came with a pdf manual and some drivers which didn't work, so I had to find some on my own. No software.

Guess I could try Adaptec support to make sure that it isn't a bad tuner first, although the Adaptec sight didn't even have the drivers so I don't think they will have much else.

Just cruising the forum feeling like i wanted to give back to the community ....

At any rate i had a lot of problems with the remote that came with my adaptec 3610. Specifically it would work but because the ir receiver is embedded into the usb device it would overload my system (to many things trying to transmit into one usb port.

To fix the problem i bought another remote i used the streamzap but you could also use a firefly i suppose.
