Last night I tried to upgrade to the latest version (0.98.8), but when the installation runs, it comes up asking for the gbpvr09707.msi file, which unfortunately I no longer have. If I click cancel when it asks for the msi file, it attempts to continue with the install, but then says there is an error with Config.

I've tried uninstalling the previous version from the Add/Remove section, but when it tries to uninstall it also asks for the msi file. If I click cancel it says its removed and the entry diappears, but all files remain, if I restart the PC gbpvr then starts up after logging in (as normal), and its uninstall entry re-appears in Add/Remove.

Previously, it had been asking for the MSI file any time i tried to go to Config, but it would let me get in to Confing if I clicked cancel so I never bothered about it before (big mistake of course).

Since trying to update/uninstall, GBPVR has been running un-reliably. Its still version 0.97.7 according to the System page. It seems to randomly come up with errors messages, for example it would complain about an invalid object reference, and some other messages which I never wrote down, but I can later on.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can get a previous release from so I can try and see if it makes a difference if I make the original MSI file available when upgrading or removing.

Thanks

Sorry I thought it was the right file but it's 97.13 n0t 97.7. You might try anyway.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I already had the msi for v0.97.13, i gave it a go and it didn't work with that file, says its not the correct file, so guess I'll need 97.7. Hope someone out there has it, or has anyone got any ideas of anything I can try?

Thanks

Sub doesn't like when people post links to sites that host the installers. You can email the file to the person, but hosting it and publicly posting the link is a no no here. Just letting you know Smile

Just wanted to say a thanks to Gibson99 and HtV for PMing me link to 0.97.07.

Unfortunately still didn't have any luck even with the previous version, just kept complaining.

In the end I had to resort to manually deleting the folder, and searching through the registry and removing all entries referring to devnz/gbpvr. After that I was able to install 0.98.08 without any problems.

Thanks again
