Hellol all, I am recent switcher from Beyond TV. I have been playing with GBPVR and have been really loving the quality of the recording. On the other hand, I am having little success with much else besides basic functions. In Beyond TV, there is a post recording option to compress into DIVX. I have the divx converter and that works, but I was wondering if there was a setting (or plugin) to do much the same thing. I saw something about ffdshow, and downloaded and installed it, but I am stuck there. I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks all!

look in video library in gbpvr for transcode button on left side..
highlight file and choose profile and hit transcode!
uses ffmpeg to convert..
oh and you can also do that to all recordings automatically by setting it up in config.exe under 'processing' tab

I was wondering, do I have to install anything first? I cannot get it to transcode anything that way...

No you dont need to install anything.

What type of file were you trying to transcode? Try again then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log and I'll take a look.

Ah, I forgot about this known bug. Edit the <CustomFFmpegConversions> section of your config.xml to remove all the text that says 'exe="ffmpeg.exe"'. After that it should work fine.
