Hi everyone.

I've asked for this forum topic to be created for any requests, bugs or support topics related to any of my plugins, being:
  • SystemStatus
  • Recordings2 (Recordings Viewer)
  • MusicLibrary2

So anything related to these, please post in here and it means I wont have to go looking for any titles in the main forums.

Cheers

psycik.

Hi psycik, congrats with your own sub-forum. I just realised we will have a problem when we want to start a forum about sub........how will we name itBig Grin

I just wanted to give you an update of my findings. as you may remember (or notSmile ) I didn't like ML2 scanning so often. I now found out that I can turn it off completely if I set all scanning options to 0 or -1 (whatever). That's at least something.
Last weekend I found out that with "default" settings it would scan not only when you restart rec-service, but also when you stop your mvp, that makes the mvp-server restart I think. Specially this last behaviour is a bit much I think. I would like to have it scan once a day (at a choosen hour)and not after every restart of whatever service or server.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I've been trying other musicplayers last weekend but none of them comes even close to ML2.Smile
Bothering you again doesn't mean I'm trying to rush you, it only means I've got to much free time.Wink Take your time.

cya Hans.

1.OGG files

can you refresh my memory as to how you handle ogg files? at the moment i use to standard music plugin to play them.

2. Feature request - Playlist/queue manipulation
If i select say, 10 songs, once its played, if i want to play the songs again, i have to start all over. I would like them held in the queue with an option to start playing the list again. Better still an option to manipulate songs in the queue, that is select a queued song for deletion/move to top of list or add a new song to top of list etc..

3. MVP remote
selecting artists can be tricky, is there a backspace to remove last letter? ie i want pink floyd but i enter pim.. so i want to delete m without restarting from the beginning.

Great plugin by the way !!

Ogg files, coming....have a new release almost ready to go...I'll look at Htv's problem with the scanning - it's probably a bug I've introduced.

Basic queue manipulation is possible,. but only jump to here, and delete.

Try the prev channel button - it is "supposed" to be a back space sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't Not sure why - think if might actually be related to releases...

I just "remembered" one more thing: In ML2 you can start a song/dir with the play button. But in the playlist window you can only start a(nother) song with the enter button, the play-button does nothing.
I guess you are still "thinking" about the random function. At the moment (I think I mentioned this before) if I click random, it makes a playlist from 100-600 songs, although the the total time for it, shown in the top-right of the window, could be about right,(e.g. 16:34:12 for 170 songs), however in the playlist window it shows 44:42 (which is close to the random setting of 30 mins). As I said this is not bothering me at all, even the huge 600-songs-playlists are made very quickly.
Ok, I'll try to stop bothering you with all this so you can get some work doneWink

Hi psycik,

MusicLibrary2 seems very nice.

I am having a problem though. I think that MusicLibrary2 does not support m3u files with entries like: "\\htpc\media1\MUSIC\Christian\Michael Card\Joy in the Journey\Michael Card - Jubilee.mp3"

Is that correct? It seems that it will work ok if I replace "\\htpc\media1" with "D:" (local directory name). I would like to use the mount-form, however, so that other machines can use the playlist as well.

Regards,

that may be right...I think I remember seeing this somewhere else. I'll try and look, I think I fixed one of the other bugs, and would count this as a bug as well. So will try to get it done for the next release...

Guys while it's cool that I've got a forum we seem to be using the same message.

Any ideas how we can make this better? Should I just let it go free form and everyone do what they want - every new bug, request in their own messages, or should we add some structure, mabe a requests thread?? And then for each version Add a thread for that?

I don't mind I'm kinda partial to the requests thread, and then a new thread for each version and people can put their bugs in there.....

whaddya think?

i thin it would be good to seperate them according to program, to keep on topic and lessen the confusion and searching..

i've got a prob with new Recordings2...it's putting titles and descriptions into the dvd burn que....i can't use the que that way...i can get the title/desc./etc. on my own if there's nothing but the filename in the que... so won't work this way..
a seperate file would be ok, just not in burn-que cuz i rely on 1 line per show..
[being only the filename with path]
oh and to use with Recordings2,i have to use a seperate version not available on wiki yet..so i'll have to set up a new link for one to use special with recordings2...
what changes are in this version with respect to showburner?
[using status.txt etc?] where does info come from for display in Burndvd list?
after a few upgrades etc. i'm back on the job...Smile

Sounds good to me. I myself (the only one I can speak for) always "come in" from the "new links" page, so I never really see the structure in a (sub)forum. So that's why I wouldn't make it to structured, because it would only be frustrating for you if people, like me, wouldn't apply to the "rules.Smile
