Just a quick note re the Harmony remotes - yes they work perfectly with GBPVR. I've used a 680, 880 and currently have a 525 which is a great piece of kit for the money.
Also grab yourself an MCE receiver - it makes the whole remote setup much easier (and you can always tweak it with girder if necessary!)
As a general rule you need to think big from the word go - this hobby is very addictive, if i'd known how much kit I was going to want a few years ago i could have saved myself a fortune in constant upgrades!
