I often don't know when GBPVR is recording. If I try to hibernate (or power down) when it is recording, I want GBPVR to tell me "I am recording blah. Do you really want to hibernate?" and I will always say "no!". As it is I unknowingly lost an important recording. [Image: rock.gif]

Do you have GB-PVR running when you tell your computer to hibernate ?
If so, then I suggest you enable the NextRecording panel in the main menu for your skin. That way, you will see, in GB-PVR main menu, if it is recording at the moment.

If you don't have GB-PVR running when entering hibernate, then check the little icon next to the clock, if it's green it's recording.

Actually, what would be even nicer is the following: if I tell my system to hibernate, or go into standby, and GB-PVR is currently recording, the hibernate/standby request should be honored as soon as GB-PVR is done recording. A 'hibernate/standby button when done recording' menu option would be nice...

Currently, when I've been watching a recording and am ready to turn in, and GB-PVR is still recording something, I cannot put my system into standby and have to let it run until the next morning.

I tried 'standby after x minutes of inactivity' (in Windows power management options) in the past, but when I found my system in standby after leaving it in 'pause live TV mode' too long, I never returned to this option.

Regards,

I am never running GBPVR while recording.

Actually I prefer to hide icons that I rarely have a need for. Right now I am recording two shows per week, so I'd rather not have to have the GBPVR icon out all the time and have to look at it everytime I hibernate. It would be MUCH more helpful if I were warned by GBPVR. In fact, the best would be upon trying to hibernate I get a message from GBPVR saying "hibernation request denied - you are recording!"

Each app is told that hibernation was requested and can respond accordingly. So it seems it would be trivial to add (codewise).
