Total reinstall of the OS, thought I knew how to get it all running well again, and now I'm dead in the water. The tuning assistant shows all the analog channels. The Map Digital channels can tune all the digitals. I worked back all the Zap2it programs, but now nothing will tune in on Live TV or from the Guide. Sad

i'm putting the new Windows Media Player on right now, but I seriously doubt that's going to matter.

I will zip and post the logs ASAP

Did you remember to install an MPEG2 decoder?

Hmmm... last time it was all installed by default. It seemed pretty simple to get it going "basically" last time. This time it's just dead. Here's the logs.

I don't see the usual decoders. You nailed it. But, I don't know why they aren't there. Sad

In those logs it looks like there is no MPEG2 decoder installed.

There isnt one installed with Windows. They're usually installed with either the software that came with your capture device, or with software like PowerDVD, WinDVD etc.

Strange because I did install the same software. But, I admit, it's been a real pain this time.

While I'm here, i backed up the folder containing all the recorded shows to another disk, and pointed the config to that folder, but it's saying I have no recorded shows.

So, while you answer that, i'm off to figure out why my MPEG stuff isn't there...

Thanks again!

Information about the recordings GB-PVR has made is stored in the GB-PVR database (gbpvr.db3). Just having the video files, not the data in database means these files will not be listeding in the recordings screen.

Uh oh, the female isn't going to be happy about that. Ooips, I guess I should have copied that too, huh? LOL! Well, she will get over it.

Is there a way to watch those files? Can I add them to that file?

I have video and audio now. Seems that ATI and NVIDIA don't like to include ALL the software necessary on their downloads. That's why I had to ditch the NVIDIA card I had to begin with is because I lost the CD. What crap.

I believe you can add this folder as one of the video folders. Watch them as normal video files.
Also, I think there's a plugin/util to allow importing recordings into DB.
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out
* MCE Remote + Keyboard
* Win XP SP2 / GBPVR [Latest version. always]
* Pioneer HDTV via VGA (1360x768)
* MS Remote Keyboard
* Logitech Harmony 880 [via MS Remote Control Reciever]

i already added it as a video folder, no ready recordings Sad

About to test the new setup to see if the jittering is gone. I wasn't able to make all the OLD video drivers work that ATI suggested, but I do have all the new chipset stuff loaded, and the newest ATI drivers.
