Does it detect your card when you try to add a capture source? If not, then you'll need to add a section to the bda.ini file. This is described here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...aptureCard

sub,
Yes it detects the card as a Lifeview DVB-T card correctly, but I am having little success in tuning in any channels. (I must say that, compared with MP the tuning process of gbpvr seems a bit complicated.) I am better with simple stuff!!! It is possible that i am just not configuring it correctly.:o Thanks for your replies. ndjwh00

If you zip and attach the logs, I'll see if there is any obvious errors listed. (with <BDAUsePsiParser> set to true)

Sub,
Please see attached logs as suggested. Many thanks

You didnt do a channel scan in any of those logs. Do a scan, then post the logs again.

sub,
I have pressed the 'Map digital channels to EPG channels' and have seen a few channels (mostly BBC channels) appear. I am a little unsure as to what to do next? I have done this before but whatever I do in the configuration program I do not have any channels when I run the main gbpvr. More logs attached. ndjwh00

Since you've already done a scan in the past, its just reloading the previous list found. In the 'Map digital channels to EPG channels' screen, you need to hit the 'rescan' button, then when the scan completes post logs agin.

With previous versions of GBPVR, my two lifeview flydvb-t's worked with the latest 2.11.02 drivers, although tweaking of the config.xml file was needed. With the latest two versions 98.08 and 98.13, what ever I did, scanning failed to find channels. I know it was finding channels as during scanning, moving tv pictures of the channels were viewable in the little scanning window, but because GBPVR said there was no signal strength, no channels were added to the list. I believe there is an issue between GBPVR and the latest lifeview drivers or any driver newer than 1.00.14, because although these is definitely signal strength, it is not being reported. Anyhow, use driver version 1.00.14. These work for me, but it would be great to be able to use the latest drivers as at a later date, I want to try these two cards in the same machine. Hope this helps.

Thought this may be of interest to a few people here.
Have been playing around and found that with the 1.00.14 drivers (GBPVR doesn't work with anything newer), two of these cards work great together for both dual recording and single recording and watching another station at the same time. Also these cards work well alongside my new hauppauge nova t 500 dual tuner card with no problems. Have recorded four shows at the same time as a test without issue. p.s. Sub - your software is the best. I applaud you for GBPVR and thank all the other coders for the plugins and utilities on the wiki. You all deserve credit for what you give us. |
