Quote:Now if only Hoyts, Reading, Embassy and Rialto were listed....never satisifed, are we?

For the next release I've added the following sources:
  • New Zealand - Hoyts
  • Australia - Hoyts
  • SkyCity

And I'm looking in to rialto.co.nz at the moment, Reading Cinemas' site is a little tougher to scrape so probably leave them till last :p

Could a New Zealander please explain Deluxe Cinemas. I can't seem to find links to thier other cinemas, all I get is The Embassy

Thanks for your work on this useful plug-in. There are just a couple of bugettes I've spotted:

1. In the postcode area of the UK cinema addresses, especially for smaller independent cinemas not Odeons, I see this: " 1AE </td><td wi". That's with the "haipav" cinema. Possibly the rest of the info is missing from the retrieved info? My cinemas are: dukyor1,uckpic,bricinmar,briode1,burori,haipav,eascur

2. The cinema refresh button pops up a text box where I can see the listing refresh taking place. Is this intended behaviour? It looks a bit ugly...

Thanks again.

A1. I'm afraid grabbing data from websites may leave over stuff like this. Will take a look but no promisies.

A2. This actually is an external exe being run - the idea being you could run gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\UKandIreland.exe as a Windows scheduled task or whatever and it will keep your listings up-to-date. This would avoid having to manually click refresh and so see the ugly (but informative Smile ) dos box.

Just so you know this plugin is still in active development. I'm adding some more sources and fixing some web scraping annoyinces (HTML tags in Cinema titles etc). I'm working on it a little at a time as I have my final year project to do for Uni, so that kinda takes precedence Smile

Thanks again for the update on this - have now scheduled the .exe to avoid seeing ugly DOS box Smile

I am getting the following error from the plugin

dont know what the problem is, as it was working fine previously

I'm using gbpvr 99.5, on an mvp although the same error occurs on the pc as well, community skin version 2.06 with the contour theme
any pointers to the problem gratefully received

I would say something is wrong with the data files. Delete cinemas.xml, films.xml and showings.xml from gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings and refresh the listings.

If you still get errors zip and attach a full log and I'll take a look.
