browse music on network share?

i used to have my music on my local gbpvr machine now i have switched it to another pc and have access to it via a network share. now my ewa doesnt find the files anymore. will ewa see files on a network share? if they do i must have something misconfigurd but if not i will not keep trying to track down the problem

I had to change the user that the recording service runs as in order to get these to show

I changed mine to an administrator user who had rights to the shares

Hasn't seemed to for myself. You could try adding another user and figuring out the rights they need if you don't want the service to run as admin.
I'm not sure exactly what rights they will need though. Possibly someone else might

I just use my username, since I'm the admin. As admin, you'll have full rights.
Use the same user name on each machine. The user also needs a password (same on both machines) in order to share correctly. A blank password didn't work in my system. GBPVR Recording Service also needs to run as that user, instead of as a system process To set this... right click "my computer"->manage click "Services and applications" then "services" Find GBPVR recording service in the list, right click->properties FIll out the user info Under the "login" tab....I think? (done from memory) restart service after you change Once you get it working that way, you can look at creating a special GBPVR user, with limited read/write rights only in your music folder. But you'll again need to use the same username and password on both machines, or more if you have more than one. I didn't bother.
