I was wondering if there are any women here that have built their own PVR's.

I think I remember once seeing a post by someone who mentioned "my husband" but this is no longer a guarantee the poster was female. Big Grin

I'm female, and yes I built my own pvr...certainly would not have done so well without all the support here.

We may well have built it, but getting it to work is a different matter.
Maybe not so much with GBPVR, but certainly the linux stuff.......<snore>

I too am a woman but I can't say I bulit my own Gbpvr. My son built it but I have taken over maintence since I have the greater computer skills (not counting the skills of our adult children). I have learned a lot and I really enjoy being part of the forum. I have often wondered if I am a "WAC" that others refer to.

kayleigh and joe chan (Joanna) are our other self identified female members.

"WAF"= Wife acceptance factor (extreme effort it takes to please wife)
"HAF" = Husband acceptance factor (hand him the remote) :p

I'm female, too. Built my own setup, along with the rest of the computers in the house and a few for family and friends. HAF isn't an issue (he has an SA 8300), but DAF is (daughter acceptance factor). Big Grin

I always read it as wife approval factor, but the message is similar

lolz, well at least she accepts one piece of good technology, while begging for her new ipod (last years is so out of style) and KRZR (the RAZR is so cliche), but I digress. (sorry if this offends, I just always have the urge to rant about how pop culture treats technology, and dont even mention the overuse of "High Definition" around me... High Def Radio... wait you mean there are no lines of definition in radio broadcasts?????)
