I can login on my network but from outside I can not login to Web Admin. I have the latest version of GBPVR and Webadmin. I can get the login page and put in my user name and password but when I hit login it goes to a blank page "page cannot be displayed".

I have port forwarding turned on and it is working since I can get the login page. Where is the Webadmin failing?

I have been using RealVNC to connect to my home computer to schedule recordings. I would like to use the web admin instead. Please Help.

make sure you're going to the correct URL:

and not just the ip address and port

Do you see anything in the logs after the access from outside the network?

Look on the Statistics tab.....there is a link for the log.....or you can drill down into one of the subdirectories located here....the subdirectory that contains the gbpvrpublic.dll will have the log.

Code:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr\4d107d39\801bf7b5\assembly

Do you get the same behavoir when you use your external access link from inside your network? i.e. http://yourexternalip:port/gbpvr/guide.aspx

Hi,

I am having the same issue I have port forwarded ports 7647 & 7648 to my GBPVR PC and from outside I get to the login screen and thats as far as I get it does not seem to accept the login. when on the same network I have autologin enabled for my subnet so thats no problem, I tried to look at statistics as you suggested and I just get the error page all other pages seem to work fine its just statistics. I am using build 53 the latest.

Any ideas on the statistics page issue?

[EDIT] I have just tried my main GBPVR PC which is running with the default Web build for 98.13b and the statistics page works fine on that one!

[EDIT2] On the PC with the statistic error (build 53) I have noticed that on the login screen (for access to config) that clicking on the login button fails but pressing enter after typing the password works fine

Thanks

Nothing has changed between build 48 and build 53....so I am not sure why you would be having this behavoir.

Post your logs when you get the error on the statistics page.....

You will find the logs in a subdirectory under this tree.....the subdirectory with the gbpvrpublic.dll in it will contain a .log file......look in it and you should see what type of error you are getting.....

Ok...also sounds as though you have two PC's running GBPVR....is this correct?

Is the one that is working have your recording directories on it and the one that is not working does not?

If both of these items are true then the PC that is not hosting the stored files needs to run under a local user account that is also defined on the GPPVR machine that has the recording directories on it.....you can't access network drives from a remote PC under the standard system account....has to be a user acccount.

Hi,

Ok, I have two PC's lets refer to them as DEV and Production as thats their roles. my DEV PC is using build 53 and is the one that I have noticed two issues:

1. On the Web login screen (for access to config) clicking on the login button fails but pressing enter after typing the password works fine.

2. selecting statistics page results in an error. I have attached my log files as requested.

My dev PC has the recording service set to use an account that has admin privelidges as recommended, note that my production PC doesnt have this account setup nor does it have build 53 and both these issues are not seen on my production PC.

Thanks

Ok....for some reason you have the SQLIte.dll in the plugins directory....should not be there......get rid of it....

Code:
16/12/2006 20:32:53.067 ERROR [4] Error initializing plugin:: [B]C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins\System.Data.SQLite.dll[/B]

Thanks UJB I removed the SQLite.dll and also noticed that it was getting upset that the H:\LiveTV directory no longer existed so I created that and that resolved my statistics page not showing up.

Back to the original issue which was not getting access from outside of my local LAN, I am trying to access from work to my server at home. I have added port 7647 and 7648 to my home router port forwarding rules my DEV GBPVR machine shows the admin screen and when I hit the login screen the password filed goes blank and it eventually shows done in the bottom I.E status bar. I have looked at my logs and apparently I logged in correctly see:

18/12/2006 8:27:55 a.m..565 INFO [4] Successful login for admin from 203.***.86.10
18/12/2006 8:28:15 a.m..722 INFO [4] Successful login for admin from 203.***.86.10

That was two differnet attempts being shown.

I still do not get the actually web GUI remotely I am just left looking at the Login page.

Hope you can think of something else

[EDIT] I added my works public IP address to the auto login IP addresses and that works fine so it would seem its an issue with the security login script

Thanks

Hmmmmm.......I haven't seen any issues with the default autologin settings....had you changed them prior to having to add your works public IP?
