this is more of a curiosity question but i had a network conflict happen yesterday. My wifes computer kept popping up a box that said there was a conflict with another system on the network.
I went into the router, a netgear fvs318 to see if i could see anything there. I saw my wifes computer and mine and another system and all seemed well. I shut down everything and restarted and all has been well since.
My question is i got to thinking later that i didn't' see the MVP's listed in the router, only the computer systems. Is that normal? I assume the router is giving them an IP address but they dint' show in the router anywhere, they function very well so I'm not going to worry too much about it but i do wonder why they wouldn't show up in the list of ip address' that were given out by the router?
