ya know, i didn't even realize i was using the new version, till i saw this thread..
my main pc went down on me, and the first thing i did (after some testing) was install my capture card in my secondary pc and move it into the living room for now, installed .net (it was a new windows install, hadn't spent much time setting it up yet) and downloaded gbpvr.. i saw this thread the next day (had a lot of work to do on this old rig) and was like, huh.. wonder if that's what i just installed.. of course, no problems here.. another great release.
just wanted to let you know, it's great! (even if this computer isn't.. darn it takes almost twice as long to compress a video now - yuck).. Wink
MAIN RIG - Opteron 165 @2900MHz
2x1024 OCZ Platinum @ 480MHz (3.3.3.7)
HTPC - Athlon 64 3800+
2x512 Corsair XMS C2
ATI Theatre Pro 550 - MCE Blaster - Comcast Set Top Box

I believe my Hauppauge PVR2 USB2 has a built in hardware decoder / encoder. Using 0.99.5 I do not see it listed in Config >> Hardware Decoder Device (only Hauppauge PVR350 and Sigma Designs XCard). So I select Software Decoder. Everything works ok, but I wonder if it should be listed. Thanks for the great app, and Merry Christmas.

Many of the Hauppauge products contain hardware encoders for recording but only the PVR350 contains a decoder for playback; and it would only do standard definition, whick makes it a poor choice for interfacing with digital TVs or displaying HD content, everything above 720x480i would need to be transcoded. (as I see it)

Hey Sub, just dropping in to say how much I love the youtube support especially for the MVP. Now I can sit in my living room and youtube all day from the comfort of my living room! Well I hope you continue your support for it and thank you for all your hard work!

yeah, as zaphod mentioned above. This device does not have a hardware DEcoder. It has a hardware ENcoder. Very different.

Just a quick reply after 2 days playing around with the new release by my kids (they know how to mess things up) no problems here, even changed to the SQlite database.Youtube wasn't my thing anyway so I disabled it.

Thanks to the Youtube plugin I saw a video of a Nintendo Wii Controlled Smarthome. http://wiihacks.blogspot.com/ I thought of making a video of using the GBPVR Youtube plugin to see a video of a Nintendo Wii Controlled Smrthome. Just joking. The Youtube plugin is cool. It would be nice if we could have it download in the background while we did something else so we aren't just wait twiddling our thumbs. I had trouble replaying after pausing, rewinding, etc.

I've just deleted a post from here. As mentioned in the first post in this thread, post problem reports in the support forum, or I'll delete your post.
