What do I have to do to see Echostar 7 in config. There is a cool FTA NASA channel I would like to see.

Do a google search for "Joshyfun's transponder lists". Visit his web page and download the .ini file for the sat. that you want. Place that file in your ../GBVR/BDA/DVB-S directory. You will see other .ini files already there. the new sat. should show up next time you run config.

Yeah, do what Shaky suggested.

I've been in touch with Joshyfun a few days ago and he has kindly given permission to include his latest transponder files with each GB-PVR release, so the next version will be significantly updated over what is already there.

That will be great when you get all the sats listed. I go the ini from Joshy and now see it in config. But when I scan, it does not find anything.

I tried on My Theatre and it finds bunch of channels. I used the settings from My Theatre but don't know what they mean so I don't know if they are correct. In GBPVR, I have LOF1 set to 0 SW set to 0 and LOF2 set to 11250 with powered "on" and DiSEqC off. It scans but does not find anything. Any ideas? What are the LOF settings? By the way, I have a single "legacy" lnb, and no plugins installed.

Have you applied the fixes from the survival guide?

Those values dont really sound right to me, but I havnt had a very wide exposure to different LNBs etc, so these might be OK.

As I understand it, those values are somewhat dependent on the type of LNB you are using. Have a read through the first few pages of this thread and you'll find some values to try: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=22637

I somehow missed the patch. I applied it and it brought in a bunch. I am still going through them. Lots of unknowns. But also alot of others. Now to figure out the EPGSmile

I'm working through the issue of many Unknown channels showing up for North American DVB-S users. Its proving challenging doing this from the other side of the world without access to the real signals, but I think I'm making some progress, so should have an update soon.
