OK I am a total noob when it comes to GBPVR.... It looks like an awsome application. I have no idea if what I have is what I need.

My setup.

p4 2.4Ghz
1.5GB Ram
GForceMX400se (could be a 440se) not at home right now.
PVR 150
Pansat 2500A FTA receiver

I am going coax in to 150 and S-video out to 56" projection tv. Picture is really fuzzy and blury. Is this video card related?

Trying to get the Irblaster working with receiver (with no luck, have email into Haupauge)

Thanks in advance

It's worth searching the forums for fuzzy and blury picture - ther's been a lot of talk about it so worth reading up on others problems. My personal guess would be the svhs cable - is it a decent one, or just the shoelace that came with the card?

Have you tried hooking a monitor up to the video card to see if the picture is the same? More than likely it's the MX400/440 doesn't have the horsepower needed. But which codecs are you using (intervideo, cyberlink, purevideo, etc)?

I was using cyberlink with my old onboard video (equiv to MX440) and the picture just wasn't all that great and fast motion scenes blurred. Switched to the Intervideo and it was better but still not great. Finally added a Geforece 6600 and the picture quality is great.

installed purevideo (am i using it? have no idea)

not sure how far togo with this. If I can't get the STB controll issue resolved then I don't want to dump a bunch of $$ into this project.

Thank for the info
