Last nite we had another disconnect so I guess that kills the theory of my previous update post. The disconnects now do not appear related in anyway to settings on my client pc.

Basically I am back to square 1, I don't know what the heck the problem is. I know the symptoms appear completely random. We can watch our MVP for a few hours everyday for days without a problem and then on any given day might suddenly start experiencing disconnects.

BTW I'm using a D-Link 624 router just in case this is somehow related...(grasping at straws Wink

My MVP is dropping the connection too after 5 to 10 minutes watching a recorded show. I'm using the latest release of GBPVR and had nearly now problems with the previous one.

My network is all Gigabit (server, switch etc.) except the MVP of course. Could that cause the drops?

You problem is being caused by the My Pictures plugin. Try removing it's DLL from the plugins directory.

actually the plugin was unchecked ... but to be on the safe side I have deleted the DLL from the plugin directory at all since I use the built in functionality from GBPVR now.

I will post an update in a few days on how it goes.

Many thanks for the quick answer.

That definitely was the cause of that crash, as shown by the error message that gets generated. The reason I suggested removing the DLL, rather than just unchecking it, is that some plugins dont behave nicely and try to continue working anyway.

I have found it is easy just to add a directory in GBPVR called "Parkinglot" as a place move plugins and other things for testing. That way you can pop them in and out without having to keep track of them. I have had many times that unchecking does not work. They must be pulled from the folder.
