VA Request

I was wondering if I could make a few requests.

1. Maybe just a question, but, I have the user/groups setup for parental control. How do I logout and login as a different user.

2. Can we have an option of a default user to login as so I don't have to login everytime. This way, the default login is setup for the kids. For this to work, I would need the above too.

3. If not #2, make it so that I don't have to login until I get to a folder that has permissions on it. Again, this is so I don't have to login everytime. #1 is also required for this.

I would need #2 or #3 to improve the WAF of this feature.

BTW, for the DVD2MPG part, I found that installing AnyDVD lets me keep using VA to RIP DVDs, even the ones that DVDDecryptor can't decode.

I think you already answered your question for #1 (use the pause key). With respect to #2 and #3, the plug-in currently can be configured to remember log-ins (tick the Remember Last Login check box on the plug-in's User config tab). However currently the login is not retained across restarts of GBPVR. I've made a change in the next version to save the last login name in the config.xml file. You will need to login one time to set the "default" user, but thereafter it will remember whatever your last login was any time you restart gbpvr or enter the plug-in.

Yep, figured #1 out. As for the other, the checkbox is checked, but you are right, I thought that it remembered between restarts. Thanks for the clarification.

Few question about saving to the config.xml.
1. Is it one per frontend(PC vs. MVP) or one across all.

2. Can this be enabled/disabled separately from the current "remember user".

If #1 is a single user across all PC and MVP frontends, then I would want an option to disable that but still have the current "remember last" functionality.

Right now it is per client ID and is not separate from the "remember user" setting. Since each MVP has a unique client ID, this would be unique per MVP. On PCs the client ID is a function of the render type selected (e.g., VMR9) so I think for PC clients it will be the last one that sets the default to be used after restarts.
