Display more than one upcoming recording on Main Menu

Hi,

Currently, the Recording Now: and Recording Soon: information on the Main Menu shows only one upcoming recording at a time, cycled continuously every few seconds.

I often have to watch the Main Menu for some time to ensure no recording is currently in progress (waiting for Recording Now: to cycle around) before knowing I can safely put the HTPC to sleep.

Would it be possible please to have Recording Now: separate from Recording Soon: so that this information can be seen at a glance?

On top of this, an option to choose the number of future recordings to be shown on the Main Menu (eg. a list of the current, and the next 2) would be great.

The video archive panel can be set to show an indicator at all times if a recording is in progress (as well as cycling through upcoming recordings).

Thanks very much Jeff - I've just found the Video Archive plugin on the Wiki. I'll install it and have a look now. Sounds like just what I'm after.

If possible, however, this is something that I think people would find very useful to be a default feature.

I usually just go to the Recordings screen and check for pending recordings... It says if something os currently being recorded.

Absolutly true... I was just wondering about that yesterday.
On the other hand, if you have a ongoing list of upcoming recordings you'll have to have a scroll function, not to sure if that's handy. But to have it as an option would be appreciated.

I've added a skinning option to the next recording panel for the next release, to show something when recording is in progress.

Doesn't the gbpvr icon in the system tray show when you're recording?
Mine changes colour.

(@ Reboot: I run GBPVR full-screen on a TV, controlled only via a remote control, so never see the tray icon ).
