You definitly can use the manual recording to record you shows just like you would with a vcr. You just need to add the channels in yourself.

i saw no place to add frequensys ... (i allready know them from the pvr program).

also can it recrod using dr.divx? i tried using winfast but on playback when i rewind the audio goes out of sync.

can it wake up the pc from hibernation (winfast can do that, but i don't know if it's a software feature or hardware one).
can it return the pc to hibernation after recoding?

go to the configuration app. then go to capture sources, and edit the one you want to add the channels to. if you havent already set this up, you can read how to do it in the wiki (http://gbpvr.bladerhq.com/).

when you are editing the captures source(window is called "Edit Recording Source&quotWink theres an "Add" button at the bottom, this allows you to add a channel to your channels list. click this, a new channel will appear, and in the "Source Channel" column add the frequency for that channel. name the channel something appropriate like "MTV" for mtv etc. if you dont know what frequency it is, use the "Tuning Assitant" and that will tell you the frequencies.

if you have any more question just ask. we are here to help.

i guess you mean is divx recording supported. well if you have a divx hardware encoding card, then it may be supported (some divx cards are, but im not 100% sure if all of them are, but i know some are). you can wake from hibernation or standby (i cant remember which, i think windows has two different settings, ive never really played with these, but i know one is) it will wake your machine to record any booked programs and to update the EPG (well in your case it wont Tongue, update the EPG that is.).

My card is PVR2000 it does not have divx by hardware but by using divx encoder in software (in winfast i can specify which encoder i want) , do u mean that in this case GB-PVR will not record in divx (meaning it won't allow me to select an encoder?)

can u tell me to adjust the gb-pvr to wake the pc from hibernation?

if your card doesnt have hardware divx encoding, it wont work. gbpvr requires hardware based cards, there is a *patch* to allow software based cards, but i dont think it will allow you to encode directly to divx either.

gbpvr will automatically wake your machine if a recording is scheduled, theres nothing you have to do to make this work (just make sure you didnt turn it off).

i'm interested to know how it's possible, is "power-up scheduling" a feature of the card itself, or the software?

i know leadtek has it, but pvr-350 does not, does this mean i can use the pvr-350 with gb-pvr to wake the pc up? can i use any card?

i'm rather to conused on where to look up this feature.

gbpvr handles it. if it is in hibernation mode (im pretty sure its hibernation mode) gbpvr will wake the computer up (since windows is still active, just using bugger all power and hardly doing anything) via windows, and then begin the recording.

its like if you go to "scheduled tasks" in windows, and goto advanced on one, and theres an option "wake machine to run this task" which is basically how gbpvr does this. windows handles it.
