GBPVR Config

I am looking at possibly buying a WinTV PVR USB2 and I noticed that in the config, when you go to select your capture card, there are 2 listings:

WinTV PVR2 USB2
WinTV PVR USB2

When I search Amazon for WinTV PVR, I found an old USB1.0 version, and a USB2.0 version. Within GBPVR config, what's the difference between the WinTV PVR2 USB2 and the WinTV PVR USB2?

Hauppauge did a major change to the drivers at some stage, and renamed the drivers from "WinTV PVR USB2" to "WinTV PVR2 USB2". As far as I'm aware, its actually the same 'PVR USB2' hardware: http://www.hauppauge.com/Pages/products/...rusb2.html

Got it. So there is only one PVR USB2.

How does the PVR USB2 compare to the PVR150 and PVR500 in capture quality?

I have a PVR150 and a PVR500, with a noticable picture quality difference favoring the PVR150. The PVR500 I have came straight from Hauppauge, after I tried two that sucked.

From what I have read, the PVR150 has a different/better tuner then the ones supplied on the PVR500.

I havnt used my PVR USB2 in a while, but from memory it was pretty good quality. I didnt really notice any significant difference from the PVR250/350, which were devices in the same family (all using same hardware encoder chipset).
