I have Nvidia selected for the playback decoders and DVD decoders. When I go to play a dvd or recorded program the picture doesn't fill the whole screen. Is there any way to resize this through GB-PVR?

Thanks

Some decoders insist on a square aspect ratio window. This means you may need to change your PC's resolution to more closely match the video you're trying to play. Powerstrip is a utility that allows you to do this.

To see if this is the case, start GB-PVR in window mode, then start playback of a video. Try draging the window to different sizes. You'll probably find this decoder is always trying to maintain the original aspect ratio.

I did the test with dragging the window and it tried to maintain its original aspect ratio. I was thinking about the powerstrip idea, but wouldn't that basically create alot of overscan that would push the OSD out too?

well, I just had an idea and was wondering if the aspect ratios in theaterTek have anything to do with my problems right now. I clicked on the aspect ratio, set it to 16:9 and theres a box for locking aspect ratios which I left unclicked. Went back to GB-PVR and live TV was back to filling my whole screen. I didn't think that settings in theaterTek would have anything to do with that. Thats for the help guys. When I use GB-pvr to watch a dvd it fills the screen the way it should but is moved up the screen instead of being centered. Anyone have an idea on fixing this?

Thanks
