I have a Haup 150 PVR [non mce]. I also have a Directv box that I just got today..

Now onto the problem. I set up the box... hooked it up to the PVR card and I got snow.. okay... seems that the PVR card doesn't work [can't see tv] until I fire up the program that came with that to watch tv and it changes the PVR channel back to 3.

I'm sure someone has had this problem. I attempted to record something and alas I recorded 10 minutes of snow... for some reason when I shut the App that came with the TV card off the picture changes back to snow... is there a way to lock the PVR card to channel 3 so it will record for me?

Another question... I have set this up as such:
Sat line from the dish into the Directv box
From the box I have hooked the S video to my tv
and from the cable output I hooked to the PVR card

Is that correct?

Next question... am I locked into just recording what I have on or is there a program that will change the channel on the Sat box to record correctly? I know I'm doing something wrong here..but I have done nothing but think about this for over an hour and I think I've "over thought" the problem to the point that I'm now totally confused.

Thanks
John

I believe there is an option in config under captures sources that lets you put in the constant channel number. You just need to put 3 in there.

I have the TV hooked up via the coax & Svideo going to my pvr 150.
The PVR 150 will benefit from the Svideo more than the TV.

Also, there is a directv channel changer program on the WIKI.
Depending on what model receiver it should be what you need.

It's one of the new receivers. It is a D12-300 [made by phillips I believe].

Is that used throw the home made cable or is it just a program?

Thanks

Never mind... figured it all out... installed new blaster software... problems all solved....God I love this.. Big Grin

I posted a link to the new blaster software but in case you missed it for you Directv guys here you go...

ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/irblaster/....24286.exe

No need to install ANY extra software or hardware..

I installed it over the old one and all worked... Just install run the config program again and I used code 0125 and it turns on and off, changes the channels just fine... now my recordings are being named correctly... tested and working!!! Cool
