Can anyone recommend a good kids learning remote? I'm ideally looking for some thing with just a few basic keys up/down/left/right/ok and maybe two or three other keys?

I'd been looking at the Weemote dV which looks pretty good, but I cant seem to find anywhere that'll ship it to New Zealand.

Interesting...

However, my 6yr old daughter fully grasps her 13tv w/DVD player remote so I wonder how long lived something like this will be?

I need to have her teach my wife how to use that remote Smile.

A she-remote, now that would be something. It would have to know exactly what the user intended, regardless of what actual buttons are pressed...

similar type of remote on ebay that says ship worldwide

My oldest daughter is only three, and we've got another daughter that is almost one, so I suspect I'd get a fair bit of use out of it over the next few years.

Yeah, I saw that one. Its an older model, but I think the lack of up/down/left/right/ok isnt well suited to what I have in mind.

I would be happy to purchase that one in your first post and ship it to you as a donation (since I haven't done so yet) if that is the model you are looking for.

From their site

"We ship both domestically and internationally, therefore, actual shipping charges will be calculated during the checkout process."

So maybe I'll just do a regular donation so there is no need for a middleman

yeah, but alot of places consider shipping only to the US and canada as shipping "domestically and internationally"
