I got it to work as a subdirectory of my website using the same port as the website (8080). Thanks for your help. For now I'm sticking to running it off a different port (7647) because I seem to lose the ability to restrict access - it appears to be available to any internet user. The way it is configured by default, at least there is some security.
Are you trying to access your site from within your local network, or from a public network?
When accessing it on your local network, it doesn't ask for the user/password, even if you are typing your full address, i.e. -http://www.somedomain.com/gbpvr- rather than -http://localhost/gbpvr-
Just to update & put this to rest. Everything works as it should - it asks me for the password when I access the website from outside the network. I prefer it this way - don't want to keep extra ports open unless I have to.
Thanks for the help.
