That is to be expected - it may not match the the rest of the skin but will work. Maybe worth posting on the Basic skin support thread:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=22739

ps. Which do you prefer - Lakeside or Bluewater or neither? :p

Bluewater. Lakeside is full of kids and just seems dirty compared to Bluewater. Might also be due to the fact that Bluewater had a BB muffins and lakeside only recently got one. Not that I like blueberry muffins or any thing :-)

I moved a copy of the background.jpg file over and that seems to have made the difference. Well at least the background is the same now rather than just black as the previous file was. Thanks again.

Awesome plugin! Fixing/tweaking others stuff is helping me learn the skinning system. I'm about to write my own plugin.

You have a bug in creating Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings\cinemas.xml

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Cinemas>
<Cinema CinemaID="AAAQM" Name="Regal Evergreen Parkway Stadium 13" Address="2625 N.W. 188th Hillsboro, OR 97124 800-326-3264" Telephone="" />
<Cinema CinemaID="AATBX" Name="Century 16 Cedar Hills Crossing" Address="3200 SW Hocken Beaverton, OR 97005 505-672-7469" Telephone="" />
</Cinemas>

should be

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Cinemas>
<Cinema CinemaID="AAAQM" Name="Regal Evergreen Parkway Stadium 13" Address="2625 N.W. 188th Hillsboro, OR 97124" Telephone="800-326-3264"/>
<Cinema CinemaID="AATBX" Name="Century 16 Cedar Hills Crossing" Address="3200 SW Hocken Beaverton, OR 97005" Telephone="505-672-7469"/>
</Cinemas>

The address isn't parsed correctly, which causes the phone # to be part of the Address identifier instead of Telephone.

I've attached my Basic skin for your plugin.

I am in Canada, using the zap2it version and for teting purposes I have only loaded one cinema, AANEH. When I first tried, I notice that my version of GBPVR UI elements was version 5 something and you need version 6 something; however I couldn't load all of the current version because some part of the gbpvr ui elements was being used by something else (I am guessing it was the video archive panel because I think that is the first plugin that required me to load the gbpvr ui elements). So I disabled all the non-standard plugins and was was able to update my version of gbpvr ui elements. I still get the message: could not load type "update State" from asembly "gbvrUiElemetts, version=0.52533.28042, culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= Null". I tried updating the istings directly from the International Cinema folder but got the same message. The with great trepidation, I downloaded the Devlopers version of gbpvr UI elements, thinking that was version6 but I still got the same message. I have attached my logs. Does anyone have an idea of what else I could try or what I have done wrong? Thanks, and thanks for the plugin too! p.s. For those US\Canadians who prefer Fandango, I think that skin has been added as well since there is an updater for it in my directory.

You may need to stop the recording service and the GB-PVR tray (I had to) to install the latest UIElements. One or the other (or both) running prohibited the install from overwriting the file.

Techno-bable
I use a ExecWait 'net stop "GB-PVR Recording Service"' command in the skinplugin installer to overcome this. Then after the files are installed, I use ExecWait 'net start "GB-PVR Recording Service"'

Like this:
Code:
Section "Plugin Files" SEC01
   ; stoping recording service
   ExecWait 'net stop "GB-PVR Recording Service"'
  ReadRegStr $INSTDIR HKLM "software\devnz" "GBPVR InstallDir" ; Find GB-PVR
  DetailPrint "GBPVR is installed at: $INSTDIR"
  SetOverwrite ifnewer
  SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\"
  File "GBPVRUIElements.dll"
  SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\skin\Blue\GBPVRUIElements"
  File "skin\Blue\GBPVRUIElements\*.*"
  ExecWait 'net start "GB-PVR Recording Service"'
SectionEnd

This is a problem with the parsing the source. Its hard to seperate the address form the telephone number. Will have another look before v3 is released this week.

It's work-in-progress so I wouldnt use it, wait for version 3 of the plugin later this week.

Fatman_do is right - the recording service stops the UI elements update.
Will add the lines to the installer to get around this. Thanks fatman! Smile

Thanks for the help. For me (& possibly anyone else using background plugins like video archive panels). First, I had to disable on non-essential plugins and then restart the computer. (Note that I am still guessing as to which plugin prevented Fatman_do's solution from working the first time I tried it) Then I closed the icon in the system tray and then I used the task manager to check that the GBPVR had stopped (having checked that I wasn't hoping to record something at this time!) and needed to cancel again in task manager. I was then able to update the GBPVR UIelements to version 6, reselect my plugins and restart the computer. The cinema plugin works like a charm - thank you. I especially like the way that I can pick and choose the theatres for which information is displayed.

If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be to add an option to check out what IMBD or net.flix has to say about the movie.

Have just uploaded version 3.0 to the wiki.

Changes include:
* Near complete internal re-write - now just the one, faster, updater exe for all sources.
* Can now view By Cinema or By Film.
* Single updater exe - smaller download.
* Made it easier to add sources (still no fandango I'm afraid - got put to the side because of other changes I wanted to do).
* Updated the UK and Ireland, NZ SkyCity and Zap2It sources due to website changes.
* Added page up/down support on film info pages for sources with long writeups or lots of showing times.

If you are updating from V2.x you must go into the config app and check your cinema ID’s, then click OK to save. This will ensure the updater exe works.
You can also delete the CONTENTS of the gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings
