I must be missing something very obvious here. I've got channels TV1,2,3,C4 working nicely (VHF), but would like to get UHF channels as well (Prime, Triangle). I've got a UHF and VHF antenna, but the tuning assistant only seems to want to scan the VHF band.

Try setting it to "cable" instead of antenna. This will force it to scan a wider set of frequencies - it may help.

Even though I'm in NZ, I use composite to connect to my Saturn cable box, so I've not really spent too much time tuning in the channels here. The rabbit ears in my office also seem to do a crap job.

yeah with antenna in nz (well in auckland) you only get 1-4, cable you get the rest, which i know is really misleading, you think cable refers to cable like in america, and every here we just consider antenna or digital (not sure about saturn thou, think its fibre, could be cable).

Yeah, here in Wellington Saturn/TelstraClear is real cable. Nice big thick bit of coax, delivering my tv, cable internet and telephone.

Thanks, I'll give the "cable" a try tonight. Coming from North America, I also associate cable with "real cable" like some of you lucky people have down in Wellington. Too bad it never made it to Auckland.

Hasso

auckland is too spread out, so all we get is crappy satellite, which can be annoying when it rains.

but on the plus side we get Triangle TV whoohoo!

Although in Canada cable has made it into every small town, almost regardless of size and location. Here in NZ it must be the "Telecom Problem" or lack of utility company cooperation.

Yes, at least in Auckland we have Triangle, and of course the horse racing (once in a while)...

I don't suppose anyone has an updated link for XMLTV data for New Zealand with Sky Movies etc (digital), the last link I had (mytvlistings.asp) seems to have died over Christmas turning GBPVR into lead [Image: smile.gif]
