Hi,

In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that the Data Direct listings no longer reflect any program updates from the networks. However, the interesting thing to note is that the data on the main zap2it site is updated and correct.

Examples:
Andy Barker, P.I and My Name Is Earl on 4/5 have no episode info and wrong start times.
Another problem is that a lot of shows starting 4/5 have no episode info.

Are other people seeing this?

Please note that I'm *not* a GBPVR user, but I get listing data from zap2it. I wanted to ask my question here to bring this to people's attention. This problem pretty much makes any PVR using Data Direct unreliable.

Thanks.

I dont remember seeing any reports of this (I'm not a zap2it user myself), but I'm sure other GB-PVR users will pipe up if they've seen it themselves.

I can't speak for no program info. I was looking at the programs GameGod mentioned on 4/5 and mine were off too. I went to TitanTV and that also reflected the times GB-PVR was showing. It appears The Office runs 42 minutes on 4/5, according to Titan.

Yea I’ve noticed several lineup discrepancies lately. Cable channels like the history channel appear to be correct for the most part, but other network and cable listings are just wrong, or give generic subtitles and descriptions with no useful information.
Maybe its vacation time or something?

House was wrong on Tuesday. That irked me. I got American Idol, who wants to watch that.

I've started a thread on the zap2it site: http://bb.labs.zap2it.com/viewtopic.php?t=1202
If people who are seeing issues could post there, I'd be thankful. It would be useful to have one comprehensive thread, as I'm trying to get somebody at zap2it to take a look at this issue. Unfortunately, I've had little success so far, so if more people post on that thread, I'm hoping it will get some attention.

I actually already posted in the labs.zap2it.com forum before posting here today. I AM a GBPVR user, which is why I decided to checkout the GBPVR forums to see if anyone else was seeing issues with the Zap2It direct data info.

The info I'm seeing problems on are episodes pf kids programs I record for my daughter. Backyardigans (on Nikelodeon) and Noddy (on PBS) both have gone only having 'generic' show information, whereas they used to always include episode information.

This snafu makes it impossible to see which episode is one, and to know whether I should PVR it or if its a duplicate of one I've already recorded. So, I ended up using webadmin in one browser to search for episodes, then another browser pointing to the http listings (non-direct data/XML) at http://www.zap2it.com which actually is still listing the episode information correctly.

The start/end times seem OK for the shows I'm looking at though. I would think that since it looks like a mismatch for the http vs. XML datadirect listings of Zap2It, then there is just some poor configuration setting at Tribune Media Services/TMS causing the data not to load on their XML servers (b/c they have the right data on their http servers).

Too bad TMS hasn't responded to your request for an ETA on the fix...

Could you please post this in the other thread that I started on zap2it, if you haven't do so already? I'm trying to get all of these problems in one thread so they have a comprehensive list. Thanks!

This has now been fixed. See: http://bb.labs.zap2it.com/viewtopic.php?t=1228

from "labsadmin":

"We have reloaded the data. The Digital Stations that were running out of data on 4/8/2007 should now have a full schedule out. Talk shows and most series have episode descriptions loaded. (South Park we don't have a new description till Monday or Tuesday).

Channel Lineup Bug. There is a bug in the Channel Lineup where new stations are added and not being pickup. We are looking into the problem. Current work around is to unselect current lineup and then reselect the lineup.

We will continue to monitor the servers to make sure the data is getting uploaded"
