Don't know if this happens to anyone else or not, but I'm a big fan of "COPS", so I have season recordings set up (it is on frequently), which works great when I can keep up with it (believe it or not, some things DO take priority over COPS [Image: tounge.gif] ).

Anyway, I've got like 90 episodes that I know I'm never going to watch (400Gb is nice!Wink, and its a real pain to go through one by one and delete them.

It would be nice if I could just delete the files from my HDD and run some app that would compare my video directory and the MDB file, removing any entries that don't match.

Or, is there some other way currently available that can accomplish this?

Thanks,
Anedjf

I believe if you delete the mpgs and run gbpvr it will detect that they are not there and clear them out of the database.

Jorm's correct. Just delete the files and it'll remove the entries from the database soon after.

Cool! Will the web admin pick it up? I thought I'd tried this a while back and it didn't work, but maybe I was too impatient, and didn't wait long enough. Or, is it a relativley new feature?

Thanks,

The web admin picks it up. I believe the recording manager cycles through everything about every 8 minutes or so (at least that what it appears to be according to the logs). During the next recycle it'll catch the files that were deleted. Only bad thing about the recycle, is that if you cancel a recording that is going to happen in a couple of minutes, and the recycle doesn't happen before the show was originally scheduled to record, it records it even though it was canceled. Not a big deal if you cancel it a half hour before, but a pain if you do a last minute cancelation.

Ah, good info. I have always wondered why that didn't work =)
