The epg setup for these is exactly the same regardless of which of these devices you use.

thanks sub

bit confused as have setup epg on analogue pvr150mce using radiotimes website/xmltv+nightly batch file/editing registry, which took a while Smile

thought it might be easier this time as epg comes down with freeview signal, and read somewhere the nova t 500 only does it through internet?

I find its best not to mix EPG types, so if you've already go this setup, you should probably configure your DVB devices to use the same XMLTV file.

The Nova-T 500 can receive the DVB EPG broadcast with freeview channels just like every other DVB card. This is typically a feature of the software, not the device itself.

I just use windows scheduler to run xmltvgui each night and gbprv grabs the resulting data - no batch files or registry patches.

If you are already using the RT epg this way, then I'd just use the same epg source for the pvr150 and nova-t. Not forgetting to untick the channels that aren't available on a particular source.

^^^ agreed. stick with your xmltvgui, the show descriptions are much better (from radiotimes) than the ones you get from the EPG download.
