Consistent time format in the logs

A very small problem:

All the log files have the time in 24h format except for gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvrecordingsevice.log which can occasionally cause a little confusion when trying to track down problems.

Afaik, Sub already planned to change that for the next release.

Yep, the change has already been done. Currently the log date format depends on your machine settings for those logs. It'll be hardcoded to 24hr in the next release.

Its actually machine settings rather than your user account settings. There is another thread here somewhere that describes what registry settings affect the machine date/time format in .net.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about that. Previous versions gave all logs in 24hr format, when the current version was released the gbpvrecordingsevice.log went to 12hr format.

No, nothing changed. The logger class has always just ask .net to produce the date string.

Could it have been the change from .net1.? to .net2 ???

I only persist because nothing changed here other than the upgrade and just the one log changed to 12hr format.

You say only one log as 12H format. Is this definitely the case as I have 2 log files in 12H format: gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvrecordingsevice.log

I didn't say exactly that "just the one log changed to 12hr format".
I'm not near my machine today, but the recordingservice one certainly chaned from 24 to 12hr. I did notice that one of the MVP logging files was at 12hr. It wouldn't be too bad if there was an am/pm indication, but 24 would be nicer.

I'll see if I can find where the 'machine time' format is stored/controlled .
