can u run vista w/ 2gb ram and no page/swap file?

So i bumped up my ram from 512 to 2gb and notice much more responsiveness on pentium dual core t2060 (1.6 ghz, 1mb L2). Total Memory is 1917 MB, 922 cached, 713 free, and page file is 473/1842 mb. Seems like disabling page file by right clicking my computer didn't do anything to make page file = 0mb. I'm wondering if i have enough ram to run merely by ram.
