Rated music plugin

I'd love to have a plugin to tie into something like LaunchCast or Last.FM. Is anybody working on this? Where would be a good starting point for a .Net developer who would be willing to 'Roll his own'?

Probably some of the other plugins from the wiki that come with source code are the best starting point.

The most important thing to determine when implementing plugins like this, is how the music is streamed from these sites, and what would be required to play these streams. ...otherwise you may spend days creating a screen for your plugin, only to find you have no way to get the stream or play it.

True... I figured I'd have to also look at these sites, and see if they have a Developer section.

Maybe an idea sub would be for the net music plugin that you have be pluginable for these different sources.....although I think UBUStream already does this??

If you're talking about sending the information to, then MusicLibrary2 talks to last.FM.

I mean listening to a Last.FM radio station. (I don't have as much music as they do.) Can Ubu Stream read from it?

Not sure if it can already, but it would be closer than everything else for setting it up.

Afaik it is just an mp3 based stream. I do have some code to read from it, but have not intergrated it into my music reader.

I've been playing with Ubu Stream more and I'm trying to get more feeds into it. (I'm cheap, and like to use free streaming media instead of paying more to the cable company.)

It only sends to Last.FM (as in the track that you're listening to). Is that what you're after?
