Yes, I'm in NZ and it works with Freeview.

Hey sub, also - is there any downsides to this card? You mentioned that the analog side of it the device lacks a hardware MPEG2 encoder... Considering that im going to be viewing and recording freeview 95% of the time... Is this an issue?

I take it that the DVB-S side has everything that you need?

Cool! Thanks for the reply on this. So.. Is this the only card if i want to use freeview and analog tv (for prime) in new zealand. Do i need anything else?

Im guessing that i can watch freeview and record analog at the same time (or the other way around)?

Unfortunately its lack of MPEG2 encoder makes the analog unusable from GB-PVR.

(not entirely true....it will try to do it if you have Hauppauge SoftPVR installed, but it does a really bad job, not good enough to use in book. audio/video sync issues etc)

The only downside I'm aware of is the lack of encoder on the analog side, which I've already mentioned - otherwise its seemed fine on the testing I've done with it.

Hi sub, one more quicky.. the specs on the 4000 say that it does high definition digital TV in H.264. Does this mean that it will work with H.264 freeview that is yet to arrive in NZ?
