Last year, I unwittingly destroyed the surprise of the winner of American Idol in simple conversation. I was surprised that sub and others from other countries were watching Taylor and Kat in the Finale of AMERICAN Idol (as a Canadian, I'm surprised I watch it too )

This year, the Live Finale went long about (reports say) 5-9 minutes, and GB-PVR, just like Tivo and a bunch of other DVRs didn't catch it....

I immediately went on the net and tried to find that last little clip...Instead I saw spoiler after spoiler.... Oh well, I won't spoil it in this topic...

I lost interest when the "Smoking hot chick with the legs" got booted off. I mean, if I want to hear good singing, I can always listen to Britney Spears. There is someone with pure talent that doesn't need studio help and backing tracks....er..I think.

I missed the last 10 minutes of Lost because American Idol went on too long..:mad:

Me too. Most I spoke to didn't like the ending but I did. I think it took balls to take the show in that direction but will likely loose viewers next year.

I will bet you that the very first 'flash forward' isn't where the producers are taking it. It's a red herring...IMHO

BTW, you GB-PVR users... missed one show in favour of another?... Isn't that what a PVR is supposed to help with?
