Is it possible to connect an MVP to a computer monitor to view the output, rather than to a tv?

not in a native way - the signals are to different. there are some solutions (standalone tuner or converter) that will be required to do that.

No personal experience with this, but it looks like what you're looking for and is only US $53. http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetai...27957341-2

Thanks Guys,
What I was trying to do was see if I could use an MVP with a monitor instead of a tv. I want to put an MVP in 4 rooms throughout the house, so buying 4 LCD monitors would've worked out quite a bit cheaper than buying 4 LCD tv's. But if I have to buy some form of converter then it won't save anything. So I think I'll have to "bite the bullet" and buy the tv's!

It probably depends on the specific monitors you were going to use. Some have composite/svideo inputs. Of course, you'd also need to find one with builtin speakers, which is not that common with LCD monitors.

I was going to feed the audio to a set of decent amplified computer speakers - in fact I may still do this even going with the tv option, as I'm primarily doing this to distribute music throughout the house. That said, it'll also be handy to be able to watch recorded tv programs too if I can suss out how to connect/operate my Sky tv digibox to my GB-PVR computer.
