I just picked up a Twinhan 1025 card from another forum member and am trying to get things working with GB-PVR to get PBS from AMC-3. The card installed just fine and seems to work well using DVBDream. I have a good signal on the AMC-3 Ku PBS mux and the picture is great. Unfortunately, I'm having issues with GB-PVR. I have it defined as a 'Twinhan DVB-S (PCI BDA Tuner Driver)' capture device. When I try to run the scan it either finds nothing or it finds a bunch of Unnamed channels. When I click on one of the Unnamed to see what is in the preview window, config locks up and I have to Task Manager kill it.
I'm using my old 8.5 ft. C/Ku band dish. I have the 1025 card connected directly to the Ku LNB, no diseq, using my GI IRD to move the dish, etc. I'm not sure what the LOF settings should be...11700 seems to almost work but doesn't sound right. From reading the forum, it appears that most here are using DishTV or DirectTV dishes & lnb's, which I think are different than the big-dish units, both polarity-wise (circular vs. linear) and LOF-wise.
So, is anyone using a big dish for DVB? What are your config settings? Anyone have any ideas/advice? I've had the big dish for ages and this seems like a good use for it and I'd really like to get PBS in digital (I don't get the C-band PBS-X very well since they moved it).
Any inputs will be appreciated. I'm located in the U.S. (Arizona)...
