Cool an XSuite forum! Thanks sub. Can we rename it slightly since CDK Scheduler is distributed with XSuite.

XSuite (XRecord, XSearch, XGuide, CDK Scheduler)

KingArgyle is the CDK Scheduler author so he would have to agree.

Marvellous. Great that this plugin is getting it's own support, I truly love this plugin. Wife and I use Xrecord all the time (MVP) it's simple and clean.

Not sure where wishlists go, but here's a couple of mine:
  • I mentioned in this thread that I'd like to see more showicons, and if XRecord could automatically look at other databases that would be grand.
  • I also mentioned in another therad that XRecord seems to handle the SHOW image locations differently, as discussed in the WIKI for ProgramImageTool. Would it be difficult to make these consistent to save an extra step or does this put other things out of whack?
  • Perhaps some inline explanations of setttings in the config?

Cheers and thanks for keeping it alive!

I want to be able to use SCHEDULER and mark shows as SEEN from client.
that should be as simple as being able to set the directory the XML files are in.
I would simply point it to the shared GBPVR directory on the server.

I currently have to go into the other room and hook up a keyboard and mouse to the server to do those things.
everything else I do with the server I do remotely.
Server--AthlonXP 2100+ \ PVR150MCE \ HVR1600 x2
Client 1--Athlon64 3200+
Client 2--Athlon64 3700+
Client 3--Turion64x2 1.9 laptop

Great suggestions. Better handling of show icons is high on my list. There are tooltips on the XRecord settings' checkboxes in the config app that might explain things somewhat.

Sounds very inconvenient. What exactly is the operation [that you want to perform on the client] you are performing on the server and with which application?

CDK Scheduler uses rectracker.mdb not an xml file to keep track of what has been watched so I'm not sure I follow. There is a command line utility [rectracker.exe] to manage this database so I suppose you could use it from the client machine to add watched shows to the database as long as rectracker.mdb is on a shared drive.

Not a biggie but the plugin is called XSearch not XFind. Sub, would you mind renaming it in the forum title? Thanks man!

sorry, I want to be able to assign the locations of PriorityRecording.xml and rectracker.mdb

I could use office to open the file too, but It is very inconvienent.
I want to be able to choose "seen it" from inside GBPVR while using Xrecord on the client.
currently if I do that, it creats a new database on the client that the computer doing all the recording never sees.

if I could assign the location of the above files, I could point it to the shared directory they are already in on the server, and it should add the relevent info into the database, making the program a thousand times easier to use.

I mentioned this problem 9 months ago with little response.
