EPG Update Plugin

I'm not sure if I should post this here or on the wishlist instead. Sorry if I chose the wrong one.

Maybe one of you brilliant plug-in developers could create an Update-EPG plugin. I guess there could be a button in the TV Guide section that when selected will update the epg or maybe the button should be in the main menu. This would be useful for people with a headless machine where the only permanent interface is the OSD.

Since the scheduled epg update doesn't function correctly at present, I have to remote desktop to my machine and manually update.

You dont need a plugin to do this. To create menu button for this, just add a custom task that calls GBPVR.exe and passes in the -onlyupdateepg command line parameter.

Thanks for the reply. I know how to create a custom task but I'm not sure how to pass the "onlyupdateepg" command line parameter. Would it be something like this?:
gbpvr.exe:onlyupdateepg or gbpvr.exe/onlyupdateepg

I'm at work now so I won't be able to try it until tonight (east coast USA time).

Got it. Thanks. It was pretty obvious how to pass parameters (even for me!
