Hauppauge is working on one. I couldnt tell you how far off it is though. I suspect it'll be a while away.

Do you have any reason to expect that this will compatible with the old MVP? My bet is they will redesign everything.

Yep, I'm guessing that will be the case aswell. We'll have to wait and see.

They're referring to some other manufacturers media applicance rather than a Hauppauge MVP. The HD version of the MVP definitely wont be available for a while.

Occasionally I read about new HD chipset that decodes mpeg2 HD or H.264 HD so their out there.

It is probably just a matter of development.

And price. The STB's with the latest H264 support cost $400 these days.

SAGETV have long been saying Q2 2007 for their HD extender, but everybody is still waiting with no official anouncement yet.

Will be interesting to see when (if :p ) it arrives.
