If I right click the system tray icon and start GBPVR it starts the old UI. No way of starting the new UI unless I go to the start menu or a desktop icon?

You could create a shortcut to the desktop. Since the new UI is still a work in process, it is not the "default" UI installed.
I edited my Hauppage irremote.ini to open with the new UI. (Don't know if sub updated the remote ini file for the new UI?)

I'm guessing none of testers use the tray app for starting it either, otherwise someone would have noticed. I've fixed it for the next release.

Let me just be another to say "Awesome job, sub!" The release installed flawlessly and has some noticable speed improvements.
The MVP key presses and screen redraws are definitely snappier, and the MVP's seem to come up more quickly when the service is restarted too. The improvements to you VMR9 modes are dramatic. Until this release I was getting about 70% CPU usage and stutters with HD playback in VMR mode, while only about 20% w/o stutters in overlay. FSE mode suffered from system tray and other apps bleeding through. Now in VMR mode CPU usage for HD playback is about 25% with no stuttering. I can finally use the wider range of aspect ratio settings that VMR mode offers. I don't know what you did, but you nailed it. GB-PVR just keeps getting better and better.

Download link on main page at http://www.gbpvr.com still points to GBPVR09912.msi
Thanks for all of your hard work, I'm going to install the new version tomorrow on a friend's machine. I talked him into buying a new PC so he could have a PVR, and then he goes and also buys an HD projector and 22" widescreen LCD monitor to replace his 15" CRT monitor.

You have to run PVRX2.exe to see the new user interface. GBPVR.exe is the old interface.

Using gbpvr.exe? Try the new executable pvrx2
