Same here. I ran "Re-register filter"-shortcut in the programfolder GB-PVR. And all was fine.

But I think I'm missing a few things from GBPVR.EXE in PVRX2.EXE

1. "Recording Soon" on the main menu

2. I have 'exit' turned off in config but it still apreas on the menu

3. There are no subtitles on 'Live TV'
Correct. These are things I'm aware of, but just havnt got to yet.

Quote:4. The tray icon only allows me to start GB-PVR, not PVRX2
Someone pointed that out and its been fixed for the next release. One guy had it smooth on his slower laptop, and rough on his faster HTPC, but managed to fix it by updating his ATI drivers.

Quote:5. Long information in the program guide overlays the next bit, see image
Hmm, thats odd. You must seem to have the programme description copied in the programme subtitle. Normally you'd just have a short show episode name for a subtitle, or the subtitle would be empty.

Quote:6. And the animation... On my screen preesing down causes (what looks like) a two step action. 1. The 'current' item reverts to normal size, the new Item increases in size and the menu moves up 2/3 of the way, then 2. The menu moves up the remaining 1/3. Not exactly what I'd call animation.
I assume you're talking about the main menu. A couple of people have reported slow animations on the main menu. Usually its pretty smooth. What CPU and video card are in your machine?

This is more of a "not implemented yet" rather than a wrinkle.

I started with the things I use most often, working my way through to the things I use infrequently, and this is one of things that didnt get high enough up the priority list before I decided it was time to do a new release.

groover km Wrote:I have my menu items organised into submenus; "Cable": "TV Guide", "Live TV", etc., "Audio": "Music Library", "Net Radio", etc. This caused PVRX2 to crash, both on the PC and MVP. Removing these submenus and hanging everything off the main menu fixed this.
Yeah, sorry - this is a limitation for now.

Quote:Net Radio doesn't show up (think this has been mentioned); hope we get this back as my wife likes to listen to it.
This will be making a return in the near future.

Quote:No YouTube, but that doesn't bother me (think this has been mentioned as well).
I'll probably release this as a plugin sample and other developers can take it on as project if they want.

Quote:Menu animations look supercool, making me thinking of ditching the MVP for an under-the-tv job.

MVP is supersnappy; don't think it's just the blue skin either, as tv and audio start up really quick. Nice job. And I have a weedy machine as well.

Thanks for the work sub, and congrate on the release. Upgrade took 5mins from start to finish - thanks to the testing crew for their work in making it so smooth.
Cheers.

tesamu, a round of virtual beers for you! You saved me the rest of my weekend trying to trouble shoot this not to mention my taking more of sub's time looking at my logs.
I'm sure this will crop up again somewhere so I'll have to remember what to suggest when I see a post like this. I never, ever would have even thought to try this.
Now I'll have time and can't get out of cutting the grass! Big Grin
Thanks mucho.

sub,

is the live guide one of those wrinkles, I hope? Instead of having the timings and boxes for programs, its just one flat line of text for each channel.. (when you hit F11 on live tv)

Looks pretty good, but am dissapointed to see the start on second monitor option dissapear. Is there any way to get the new version to start on a second monitor without having the Windows bar at the top? Other than that, I like the new version a lot. Great work!

Ok, am I missing something? I just downloaded v1.0.8. I uninstalled the previous version, changed the directory name of the remaining files in the old directory, then installed the new version. I don't notice anything different in the UI. Am I missing something? It looks exactly like the old version .9912.

Also, my EPG won't update from Zap2it. I keep getting an error message that source is not configured properly and that operation has timed out.

You need to run PVRX2.exe to get the new UI. GBPVR.exe is the old UI.

They're having some problems at the moment. Try again later.
