1.0.8 and networks shares

I can not access network shares with 1.0.8 (built in music player and photo viewer). neither with the share name nor with drive letter assigned. simply nothing happens if I try it, local drives and directorys are ok.

windows (xp pro sp1) can access the shares (nas), with 99.12 it was ok.

Have you checked the login account for the recording service? My upgrade reverted it back to the local system account, so I had to change it back to an account with network access.

Is this from an MVP or on the PC itself?

its on the mvp. the shares are set up to guest access - no login required but only readable, not writeable.

What user account is your recording service running as? I'm fairly sure the default account cant get to network shares.

the recordingservice is running as in context system. I will try to run as a different user.

Sub I've had no problems connecting to guest shares on my two NAS with the defaults user account from the mvp.

The only things that's come to light based on comments since the release is the back/exit issue where I have to use [..] to get back to these lists. Drilling deeper down the Back/Exit will take me to the root of that selection. I don't know if that's new I always use [..]

Vista sp 0 but I do run mvpmc. I just looked at the logs and the shortname isn't really a valid shortname. Maybe the Hauppauge dongles doesn't like it?
You probably should upload your logs.
